Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 7, 2026

This policy explains what information BusinessSoftwareAtlas (businesssoftwareatlas.com) collects when you visit the site, how it is used and the choices you have. The site is operated by Mehmet Değirmenci, Istanbul, Türkiye. Contact: editor@businesssoftwareatlas.com.

Information we collect

Server logs

Like almost every website, our web server records basic technical information for each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser’s user agent. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure (for example to block abusive traffic) and delete them automatically after a short period, normally within a few weeks.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to answer you and to handle corrections. Messages are stored in our mailbox, which is forwarded to a Gmail account operated by Google.

What we do not collect

There are no user accounts, comments or newsletter sign-ups for visitors on this site. We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we add an analytics service, we will update this policy first.

Cookies

Our own site does not set cookies for normal visitors. Site administrators who log in receive WordPress login cookies that are needed for that purpose only. Third-party advertising cookies are described in the next section.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We show ads served by Google AdSense. In connection with these ads:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
  • To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy link that the message provides.

Affiliate links

Some links to vendors pass through an address starting with /go/ and may be affiliate links. When you click one, we count the click for that product (a simple total, not linked to you) and send you to the vendor’s site. The vendor or its affiliate network may then set its own cookies to attribute a sign-up to us; that is governed by the vendor’s privacy policy. See our affiliate disclosure.

Outbound links

Pages link to vendors’ websites and may show logos or screenshots. When you leave our site, the other website’s privacy policy applies.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers described above (our hosting provider, and Google for email and advertising) or when the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or state privacy laws in the United States, including California), you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or limit certain uses. In practice the only personal information we hold about identifiable visitors is in emails you sent us. Write to editor@businesssoftwareatlas.com and we will respond within 30 days. For ad personalization, use the Google and industry opt-out links above.

Children

This site is written for businesses and is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
